BPC 157, a pentadecapeptide extracted from human gastric juice, has been shown to facilitate the healing of various tissues, including skin, muscle, bone, ligaments, and tendons, in numerous animal studies. This stable gastric pentadecapeptide is a synthetic chain of peptides, which are essentially sequences of amino acids. Specifically, BPC consists of 15 amino acids derived from a protective protein found in the stomach. Known as ‘body protective compound,’ BPC is present in small quantities in human gastric juices, where it aids in gut healing, but it can also be taken as a supplement to provide benefits throughout the body.
